Telemedicine Appointments

Telemedicine appointments are now available to offer care while you are in the comfort of your home.

How does it work?

Upon booking a telemedicine appointment, you will be given confirmation of the appointment and be given a link to a private portal that is compliant with all Canadian privacy standards.  Clicking on the link will allow us to speak by video through your computer or smartphone.  An additional informed consent specific for telemedicine will also be sent to you before your appointment that needs to be filled out.

Internet Connection

If your internet connection isn’t strong or working well that day, send me an email if this is the case and we can find the best form of communication that works for you.

Recommendations

A link for the agreed upon recommendations will be sent through the secure portal after the appointment where you can view or download it.

Lab Work and Supplements

If we agree to do lab work, a requisition for the labs can be sent to you through the secure online booking portal for you to print off and take to the lab.  A link will be emailed to you after the appointment to access the lab requisition.

If supplements are recommended after the telemedicine appointment, a link via the online store will be sent to you to get them delivered or information about where to find them in town if you wish to purchase them elsewhere.

Limitations

Not all appointments are the right fit for telemedicine and if you are experiencing an urgent or emergent situation outside of the time of a scheduled telemedicine appointment or at the time of a telemedicine appointment, please contact your MD/urgent care clinic or local ER.

And location matters.  Even though the appointments are done via telemedicine, only people who are presently in Ontario are able to do this.
